Ottawa Competitive Volleyball
League 3-Team Tier Format The 3- team tiers play a round-robin format
each and every week. Each match is a best-of-three games match, with the
first two games going to 25 points, and the third game (if necessary) going to
15 points. At the end of each week all three teams will be re-ranked based on
their win/loss performance. At the end of a two-week cycle, the team
with the best overall win/loss record will move up to the tier above. In the
event of a tie between two teams, the winner will be determined based on the
result of the match that took place between these two teams on the second
week of the cycle. In the event of a three-way tie, a single winner or a
single loser will be decided based on games played and then on the points for
and against (if necessary) in the second week of the cycle. Once a winner or
loser has been determined, the remaining two teams will have their rank
determined based on their head to head match in the second week of the cycle.
Teams will be awarded 1 point for a win, and 0 points for a loss. |
